Killing Your Batman

Why “Killing Your Batman?” Batman is a metaphor for the hero I created to cope with the fear and anxiety of being sexually assaulted as a child. As a kid, Batman was important. He ensured my survival. However, as an adult, he ensured I remain a victim. Eventually, He became a demon, preventing me from wanting to live. It took a long time, but eventually, I knew my Batman had to be laid to rest if I was going to become the man I wished to become.
